Contemporary Dance Academy is excited to be the premiere dance studio for Fort Collins and surrounding areas in Northern Colorado! We are centrally located off of Shields and Drake — near Gib’s Bagels and Raintree Athletic Club.

Our Fort Collins dance studio proudly offers 2 large dance areas for ballet, jazz and lyrical dance classes that are conveniently offered throughout weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings as well as on Saturdays!

Contemporary Dance Academy emphasizes strong classical technique fused with the freedom of movement and energy gained through jazz and lyrical.

School director Brielle Oakes has an unsurpassed passion for performing and teaching and is excited to continue founder Polly Creer Sutton’s vision.

Polly Sutton is one of the most talented and caring dance instructors I know. My daughters took many classes from her over the course of several years, in several different disciplines, and the growth they displayed was a direct result of Polly's influence. Not only is Polly a gifted instructor, but she is one of the most caring people I've ever met. Her concern for her dancers' growth doesn't apply just to their dance skill: she cares about each and every one of them on a very personal level. She also is considerate to the feelings of their parents, and "dance moms" are not always easy! Polly is extremely patient, even when teaching the youngest of dancers. She spends a great amount of time with each dancer during a class, getting on the floor to correct their feet, or standing behind them to get their arms outstretched. She is always kind, even at the end of a very long day. Her professionalism is evident every minute of every day. She is a gifted dancer, talented instructor, organized director, and caring person. Any student would be lucky to dance in a studio that Polly was involved with. I know we were.
