Registration – The registration fee for one child is $25 per year. Registration is paid during school year sign-up. There is no registration fee if you register before May 1st 2011.
Tuition – Tuition is based on the number of hours you are in class a week. Monthly tuition is based on a four-week month. No additional charges will be incurred for those months with extra class days; therefore, there will be no pro-rating tuition for times the studio is closed for holidays or other reasons. Please refer to our year calendar for a complete list of studio closures.

Late Fee – A$10 late fee will be added to your account if tuition is not received by your chosen payment date each month.
Payment Options – Contemporary Dance Academy accepts payment only through Studio Director. Automatic withdrawal can be set up with a credit card, or through savings or checking accounts through Studio Director.
Performance Fee –Unlike most studios, CDA does not charge a performance or recital fee. However, we do require each family to purchase 4 tickets to our year-end recital.
Make-Up Classes – Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy in the class level below your level. Make-ups must be scheduled at the front desk and are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make-ups must be done within 30 days from the missed class. CDA does not pro-rate fees or give credit for missed classes.
Time Off – Enrollment carries over automatically from month to month. If you need to take time off or withdraw your child from class, please fill out a Time Off form and turn it into the front desk 15 days before your payment is due. If we do not receive this notice, you will be responsible for a full month’s tuition, even if your child does not attend class. If your child attends class anytime during a month, you will be charged a full month’s tuition.
Withdrawal Policy- If you wish to withdraw from a class written notice must be given to the office at least two weeks before the end of the month.
Class Cancellation—Please call the studio or check the website for any weather related cancellations. We may open in the afternoon even if school was cancelled.
Late Pick-Up Policy – Please be prompt when picking up your child. The studio closes promptly at 8:00pm Monday-Thursday, and at 1:00pm on Saturday. The late pick up charge is $1/minute after 10 minutes.
Sibling Discount – There is a 5% discount for any additional family members enrolled in classes.
Parent Observation— You are always welcome to observe class through the windows; however, we have set aside 3 times a year where you are invited in to the class to see your students’ progress. This is a great time to take pictures and video.
Dress Code – Students must be dressed appropriately with hair pulled back for each class. Dancers should wear a bun for ballet, and a ponytail for all other classes. Dancers must be in their class leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes; boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and black ballet shoes for ballet classes. Black form fitting clothes, black jazz shoes, or foot undies may be worn for all other classes. All Merchandise may be purchased through our online dance store.

Costume Policy—Information on costumes for the end of year recital will be handed out in class in January. All orders will be placed through our online dance store. We try to keep the costumes affordable. The average price per class is $60.
Tardy Policy – Students arriving more than 10 minutes late to a class may be asked to observe class for the day. In addition to disrupting class, tardiness can be a safety hazard for dancers who miss the warm-up and stretching.
Illness Policy – As a courtesy to others, please do not bring your sick child to class.
Friends Policy- We love to have friends attend class and a friend may receive 1 free trial class when attending with a registered student. However, we do require a parent to accompany any new student.
Private Lessons—We offer private and semi-private lessons at a rate starting at $50 per hour and up depending on instructor. Lessons may be scheduled through CDA based on studio availability.
