RECREATIONAL
TRACK

Let's keep dancing

Recreational Track

Perfect for dancers who love to dance, want to have fun, and stay active.
The recreational track consists of Tiny Tots (ages 2-4) and Levels 1-8 (ages 5+). Placement is based on skill rather than age. Recreational classes meet 1-2 times a week, and dancers will receive good training and be held up to a certain standard, but in a more “laid-back” setting. We know not everyone wants to be professional dancers or dance in college, but that doesn’t mean we can’t inspire them to find a love of art, stay active, express themselves, and be in a fun environment surrounded by friends. Class placements are for a one year commitment. Tuition is based upon the number of dance hours per week.

Tiny Tots

Have an aspiring dancer? Tiny Tots is for ages 2-4. This is a combination ballet and tap class in a fun and relaxed environment. Dancers will advance from simple motions to basic combinations. Even learn their left from right side! Girls must wear a pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes with hair securely pulled back. Boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts, black ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Dancers will learn basics to prepare them to advance to Level 1.

Tuition is based upon the number of dance hours per week.

Levels 1-8

Recreational Track classes meet 1-2 times a week and is for dancers who like to dance, but who don’t necessarily have a desire for a career in dance (or are too young to really know). Level 1-3 (Ages 5-8), Level 4-6 (Ages 9-11), and Level 7-8 (Ages 12+). Please note, levels are based more on skill rather than age. Dancers will receive good training and be held up to a certain standard, but in a more “laid-back” setting. We know not everyone wants to be professional dancers or dance in college, but that doesn’t mean we can’t inspire them to find a love of art, stay active, express themselves, and be in a fun environment surrounded by friends.

Ballet (Levels 1-8): Girls must wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (leather for Levels 1-3, canvas for Levels 4-9), with hair in a bun.  Boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and black ballet shoes.

Jazz (Levels 1-3): Girls must wear a black leotard, black shorts or jazz pants and tan jazz shoes with hair in a ponytail or bun. Boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and tan jazz shoes.

Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical (Levels 4-8): Girls must wear a black leotard, black shorts or jazz pants, tan  jazz shoes, and tan “Pirouette” shoes with hair in a ponytail or bun. Boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and tan jazz shoes.

Hip-Hop (All Levels): All dancers in comfortable clothing that dancers can move freely in, black combat boots (sold in our dance store). Girls hair in a ponytail.

Tap (Levels 1-3): Girls must wear a black leotard, pink tights, and black tap shoes with hair in a bun. Boys in a white t-shirt, black shorts or tights, and black tap shoes.

We are firm believers in the fact that ballet is the foundation of all dance styles. This is why we require ballet for all of our dancers. Jazz, Contemporary, etc. level placement will be based on the ballet placement. For example: If you dancer is placed in Level 3 Ballet, he/she would take Level 3 jazz. The only class that doesn’t require ballet will be Hip-Hop.

Ballet is required for everything except Hip-Hop.

Option to add classes such as Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary/Lyrical, and Pointe.

Tuition is based upon the number of dance hours per week.
