December 2019 Newsletter
We can’t believe it is already December and the 2019 Fall semester at CDA is coming to an end. Although it has flown by, we feel as though our dancers have grown immensely in a short amount of time and we hope you all could see that in Parent Observations! Below is important information regarding tuition, when classes end and start back up, enrollment, etc, so be sure to read through it and its entirety! We will be sending out a separate newsletter regarding all things Nutcracker (DVD forms, dress rehearsal schedule, etc.) so be on the lookout for that today as well if your dancer is participating in the production!
1) TUITION:
Tuition was processed today for the month of December. Tuition was pro rated since the studio will be closed December 15th to the end of the month (see below for when your dancers last class is). You do not need to do anything for this unless you receive an email saying your tuition could not be processed.
2) WHEN IS MY DANCER’S LAST CLASS:
Since next week is “Nutcracker Week”, the schedule will vary just a little bit so we have broken classes down by days:
12/7: (Sat) Nutcracker Dress rehearsal at the studio **Still holding all regular Saturday morning classes (Tiny Tots, Ballet, Hip Hop)
12/9: (Mon) Regular class schedule
12/10: (Tues) Regular class schedule
12/11: (Wed) Nutcracker Dress rehearsal at Lincoln Center 4-9pm **All classes CANCELED**
12/12: (Thurs) NO CLASSES (Teachers and Fast Track dancers rehearsal at theater)
12/13: (Fri) NO CLASSES
12/14: (Sat) NO BALLET CLASSES **Still holding Tiny Tots and Hip Hop**
12/15-1/5: STUDIO CLOSED FOR WINTER BREAK
1/6: Classes resume for Spring Semester
3) ADD/DROP:
Enrollment will automatically roll over to the Spring Semester. You do not need to “re-register” for classes. With that being said, with the start of Spring semester on the horizon, this is a wonderful time to add that jazz or Hip Hop class your dancer has been interested in! All additional classes will have the opportunity to perform in our Spring Production! We will be opening enrollment back up January 1ST, so now is a perfect time to add your student to the waitlists of classes to get first dibs on a spot! Many classes are full, but we will do our best to fill the classes for the start of the Spring Semester! We also understand that things change and you may need to switch or drop a class. According to our drop policy online, we need a TWO-WEEK NOTICE in order for you to not be charged for the upcoming month. Since we will be charging tuition when the Spring Semester starts on Monday, January 6th, this means ALL DROP REQUESTS NEED TO BE IN BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 23RD. If you email us requesting to drop after this date, you will be charged tuition for January.
4) LOST AND FOUND:
The lost and found will be donated at the end of the semester! Please have your dancers go through it to collect anything that is theirs!
5) NUTCRACKER TICKETS:
We are only 9 days away from opening night of our production of Clara and the Nutcracker and we need your help! Please share our event on Facebook and Instagram to help get the word out to your friends and family! We will be posting lots these next few weeks so a simple “share” helps more than you know! Even if your dancer is not in the production, we hope to have you there to support us! Tickets are available for purchase at the link below and remember, ticket prices increase at the door so be sure to get them now for the best price and seats possible! A quick shout out to our two biggest sponsors this year, Trinity Absinthe and Choice City Wealth Partners for their support. Be sure to visit their websites (can be found on our website) to learn more about them!
