February 2020 Newsletter
1) TUITION: Tuition was charged Wednesday, February 5th for the full monthly charge. You did not need to do anything for this unless you received an email saying that your tuition could not be processed. If you wish to pay by cash or check, we just ask that you pay two months at a time. Please note our withdrawal policy that states we must have a two-week notice before tuition is processed in order to not be charged for the upcoming month.
2) SPRING PRODUCTIONS AND COSTUME FEES: Our Spring Production this year will be… *drumroll please*…ALICE IN WONDERLAND!!! We are bringing this show back from 4 years ago because it was such a hit and so much fun for the dancers! NOTE: This will be for Levels 1-8 and Fast Track and will take place at the Lincoln Center on Saturday, May 23rd (2pm and 7pm) and the Tiny Tot performance will be a separate show on Saturday, May 30th at 2pm! Everyone will be learning their dances during their regularly scheduled class times, so we hope that all of our dancers can participate in this fun end of the year performance! Please note that there will be two mandatory dress rehearsals for Alice in Wonderland at the studio on Saturday, May 16th, and Friday, May 22nd at the Lincoln Center. You should have received a costume order form and information packet last week but information is as follows:
- Production Fee: $30 per student
- Costume Fee: $70 – $90 for EACH of your dancers classes (i.e. Tiny Tots, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, etc) which includes required tights ($10 value)
- Costume Form Deadline: TOMORROW, SATURDAY FEBRUARY 8TH
- We must have this form in hand in order to order your dancer a costume and have it here in time. If you lost the form or are unable to make it in to the studio, please email us at info@contemporarydanceacademy.
com with the following information: - Dancers Name
- Class(es)
- “Yes, my dancer will be participating in the Spring Recital on Saturday, May 23rd and is able to attend the mandatory dress rehearsals on Saturday, May 16th and Friday, May 22nd and CDA should order them a costume” OR for Tiny Tots “Yes, my dancer will be participating in the Tiny Tot show on Saturday, May 30th and can attend the mandatory dress rehearsal on Friday, May 29th!”
- Tight Size (See attached form for sizing chart)
- We must have this form in hand in order to order your dancer a costume and have it here in time. If you lost the form or are unable to make it in to the studio, please email us at info@contemporarydanceacademy.
3) SHOW BREAKDOWN: Please see below for what show(s) your dancers class will be performing in. Tickets will go on sale mid April, but we wanted everyone to be able to plan ahead on what show(s) to purchase tickets for!
