September 2019 Newsletter

Happy September!  We hope your dancers are enjoying their classes with us so far and that everyone is getting back in to the swing of schedules with school and activities (we know it is a crazy time of year for all)!  We apologize for the lengthy newsletter, but we have a lot happening in this month!  Please take the time to read through it and email info@contemporarydanceacademy.com if you have any questions at all!

1) TUITION:

September full monthly tuition was processed Monday, Saturday, September 2nd.  You did not need to do anything for this unless you received an email saying that your tuition could not be processed.  This means we either do not have a card on file for you, it is expired, or there are insufficient funds.  Please note that if you wish to pay by check or cash, we do ask for TWO MONTHS payment of tuition.  Tuition breakdown can be found here:

https://contemporarydanceacademy.com/tuition/

And you can access your online portal to view account statements, update payment information, etc. by visiting:

https://contemporarydanceacademy.com/manage-account/

**Note: Our withdrawal policy online states: Enrollment carries over automatically from month to month. If you need to take time off or withdraw your child from class, please notify CDA staff at least two weeks before your payment is due. If we do not receive this notice, you will be responsible for a full month’s tuition, even if your child does not attend class. If your child attends class anytime during a month, you will be charged a full month’s tuition.

2) MAKEUP NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS (Saturday, September 7th):

Thank you to everyone who attended our auditions this past Saturday!  We have so many fun things planned for this years production! Because of it being a Holiday weekend, we had numerous people who were out of town, so we will be holding a MAKEUP AUDITION THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH!  Time breakdown is as follows:

1:00-1:30 Ages 5-8

1:30-2:30 Ages 10+

Please see the attached Nutcracker “Audition Info Packet 2019” for additional information!

3) PERFORMANCE TEAM AUDITIONS (Friday, September 20th):

Does your dancer want more performance opportunities throughout the year outside of Nutcracker and our Spring Production?  Our Performance Team is just the thing for them!  With two competitions, one optional convention, and community outreach events, this is the perfect way for your dancer to get some more “shine time”.  Info packet attached to this email but be sure to SAVE THE DATE: Friday, September 20th from 6:00-7:00pm!

4) BRING A FRIEND TO DANCE WEEK:

Next week: September 9-14th, dancers can bring a friend to 1-2 of their dance classes!  Please see the attached flier for their guardian to sign a waiver for them.  Friends must have a waiver filled out in order for them to participate!  We can’t to meet some new friends!

5) DRESS CODE:

We have most of the items in that were ordered during our Open House minus a few items that were backordered.  We should have everything in in the next few weeks so we will start keeping track of dancers dress code the week of September 16th!  This is when your dancers will need to have all of their required uniform items.  All of the required dress code is available at our dance store located at 2519 S Shields St #1A by Tokyo Joes!  Store hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00-6:00pm and you can check out with Shauna at the main front desk!  Below is a break down of dress code for your dancers classes:
